Do You See What I See?  Joseph Maiocco presents - Little Dreamer

Join us for The Mini’s 100th screening, when local filmmaker Joseph Maiocco presents Little Dreamer, a short film about one little girl's imagination that comes to life. Set in her tranquil backyard, the audience is immediately introduced to a myriad of characters ranging from a tuxedo wearing frog, to a pair of drunken gnomes. By blending the worlds of 2D animation and live action cinematography, this film captures the innocence of youth, imagination, and the idea of community. Nearly three years in the making, Little Dreamer utilizes some good ole’ fashioned camera tricks in order to bend the rules, but not necessarily break them. Only through experimentation and a disciplined approach to process was Director Joseph Maiocco able create this cinematic world.
