Mixed Bouquet - Charles Woodman: Collaborations with Composers and Dancers

Charles Woodman presents a collection of work featuring a number of single channel pieces from the 1980s until present. Collaborators include the Memlucks, Why, Michael Fiday, Judith Mikita, Odd Nosdam, Brian Chase, and others, including commissions for Concert Nova. This will be a mini-retrospective featuring many works never seen together before. Among the videos are tapes made in a variety of formats both analog and digital and including projects produced during residencies at the Experiential Television Center, Signal Culture and the Headlands Center for the Arts.

Charles Woodman is an electronic artist working in video and expanded media. His recent projects have concentrated on the creation of multi-image video installations for museums and galleries, and the integration of video with live performance, often in collaboration with musicians or dancers.

Woodman is presently an Associate Professor of Electronic Art at the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP.
